The MARA or (Mandibular Advancing Repositioning Appliance) was designed to advance the mandible and can be used during the late to mixed dentition stage of development through adulthood. There are no moving parts, making it more durable, so treatment time is more predictable.
The appliance is available with design options that can accommodate expansion in both arches as well as enhance patient comfort.
