DEPROGRAMMER TMD SPLINT
The Baker Carney Deprogrammer Splint is a modified functional distraction appliance that was designed for patients who suffer from bruxism, TMD or joint pain. The splint offers a mild force that reduces 50-60% of pain overnight. Doctors will see long-term relief without the risk of occlusal destabilization.
The Deprogrammer is to be worn only at night. Johns Dental uses a non-allergenic thermoplastic material for best results. Patients should continue to wear the appliance at night until long term treatment is determined.
