RETRAINING HABIT APPLIANCE (Fixed)
The Galella habit appliance uses an omega loop and a spinner bead to improve poor oral habits. Poor swallowing habits can thrust the tongue forward and adversely affect tooth alignment and arch form. Doctor Steve Galella designed this appliance using a spinner bead as a tongue distractor, while also using the large omega loop to encourage better positioning of the tongue for improved swallowing patterns.
