LATERAL EXPANSION (removable)
The NORD is a removable lateral expansion appliance used to correct a unilateral crossbite. Similar to the Tranverse appliance, it differs with the addition of an acrylic flange extending to the lower arch opposite the side of the cross-bite. The version shown here has added features of habit loops and a spinner bead.
