Sagittal
The Sagittal appliance can also be fabricated as a Flat Plane Splint with slight indexing to allow the patient guidance into the best joint healing position. The Gelb 4/7 technique is often used to find the best condyle position. Doctors normally recommend wearing this type of splint for six-nine months with doctor follow up.
Following the Sagittal splint therapy, Phase II stabilization can be done using a Bite Restorer, Crown and Bridge, or Orthodontics.
